The meaning of the above stanza is self-evident, nothing comes from nothing, nothing ever could. Success and achievements are commensurate with will power, hard work, resourcefulness and single-minded approach.

The day has come when every student should realize that he/she has to face the changing scenario of education today. It is especially so, in view of the enormous changes in the education policy announced recently by The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, at different levels in the various States of the Country. These changes have wide ranging consequences and in this carefully well-crafted policy a lot of weightage has been given to correlate education to the work place environment and demands and needs of the various employing Institutions, whether it is Commerce, Industry, Information Technology, Research or Medicine.

Hence my dear students you who are aspiring to choose your field of study, the Pre University Programme is the cross roads at which you decide your future studies, career and employment or entrepreneurship, be it Art, Commerce or Science.

You may choose any branch, they are all equally productive, provided you excel in the chosen branch. There is always success when you reach the top, be it any branch of study. Therefore be very very careful in choosing the branch that you want to study keeping in mind all the time that you have to reach the top.

Most of you would like to take up entrance examination at the end of your Pre University Education to join different streams and programs. Today a lot of emphasis is being laid on the entrance tests and the marks in your 12th examination remains as an eligibility criterion only. Hence preparing yourself right from day one for these entrance examinations is very important along with your prescribed syllabus and examinations. Most of the streams are giving importance for the entrance test as it is a test of knowledge gathered, retained which is available at your finger-tips. You can very well understand the reason for this. All entrance tests and examinations are of very short duration and require knowledge at your finger-tips, so that you are able to clear all the questions in the limited time allocated. Therefore, your teaching programme at BNM Pre University College will ensure that you do well both in examinations as well as entrance tests. Your learning programme should be a continuous one and not you should not accumulate and try to study at the end i.e., at time of examinations. If you follow the above way of learning, we are sure that you will excel in your studies in retaining the gathered knowledge and doing well for the future.
